Who can join?
According to Oklahoma Masonic Law, any Master Mason may join the York Rite if he has been a resident of Oklahoma for at least six months and he has also been a Master Mason for at least six months. Any Master Mason "younger" than six months may join the York Rite if he has passed his proficiency in the Master Mason degree.
How to join?
Any member of the Oklahoma City York Rite can provide a petition for the degrees and orders of the York Rite. A petition is also available online. (Don't worry about the Recommendations or Investigating Committee, we'll take care of that.) A completed petition may be submitted to any member of the Oklahoma City York Rite or mailed to our Recorder. See Contact Us for our mailing address.
Where to join?
The degrees and orders of the York Rite are conferred in one of two ways, either
• One or two of the degrees and orders at a time over several weeks or months at our regular Wednesday night meetings, or
• All of the degrees and orders from Mark Master through the Order of the Temple in one or two days at a York Rite Festival.
A candidate is free to choose whichever method he prefers. Our candidates who attend York Rite Festivals away from our location will still become members of the Oklahoma City York Rite.
